Seminar on "Era of Point-of-Care Medical Diagnostic – Applications of Micro Fluidic Components for Lab-On-Chip System"
Hong Kong Productivity Council, Hong Kong Medical and Healthcare Device Industries Association, Hong Kong Critical Components Manufacturers Association and Hong Kong Mould and Product Technology Association are co-organising a half-day seminar on "Era of Point-of-Care Medical Diagnostic – Applications of Micro Fluidic Components for Lab-On-Chip System” which is going to be held on 26 April 2012 at Hong Kong Productivity Council.
Nowadays, public heath remains one of the major concerns of our society. Lab-on-chip technology may soon become an important part of efforts to improve global health, particularly through the development of point-of-care testing devices with micro-fluidic components. Longer term, microfluidics could impact a very diverse range of markets spanning food, medical devices, household products, personal care products, healthcare products and pharmaceuticals, offering the opportunity to develop smart and intelligent products at low cost.
This seminar will provide an excellent forum to interact and share ideas on the latest technological advances and emerging applications related to the microfluidics, or lab-on-chip. Technology leaders from the research community in Hong Kong and Europe will be speaking on emerging topics about microfluidics research and development, industry applications, manufacturing challenges, and potential commercialisation.
