Dr. Tyler Leung

Dr. Tyler Leung possesses over 16 years of cross-domain experience, progressively expanding his responsibilities since earning his Ph.D in Biotechnology (Neuroscience). His role as an inventor of a skincare product test platform during his university research and project management work sparked his interest in multidisciplinary technologies. This led him to engage in diverse fields and industries, including Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Healthcare (Micro-encapsulation), Medical Devices (IVD products), Integrated Systems (Automation, Robotic Liquid Handling, Imaging, and Reporting), Microfluidics point-of-care (POC) devices, and Nano-scale Flow Cytometry systems.
He has held positions in the private sector, government-supported research and development centers such as NAMI and ASTRI, and universities, focusing on business engagement, technology translation, product development, and corporate-level project management. Throughout his tenure in different sectors, Dr. Leung has developed extensive expertise in strategically coordinating commercialization efforts with key stakeholders in the ecosystem. 
He currently serves as Assistant General Manager at DiagCor Life Science Limited, a locally based molecular diagnostics company established in 2006, specializing in the development and manufacturing of the IVD products and is accredited with ISO 13485 certification and CE-IVD registration for international markets.
Dr. Leung has actively participated in various voluntary events to raise public awareness about the life sciences, medical, and in-vitro diagnostic device sectors. He has been a panel member of the Quality and Regulatory Panel at the Hong Kong Medical and Healthcare Device Industries Association (HKMHDIA) since 2020, contributing his expertise to support the industries.
